Turn Your Gold Into Cash - Cash4Gold.com Review

It sounds like a scam, but one of the largest and legitimate “cash for gold” web sites is named Cash4Gold.com. If your looking to make some money fast in these challenging economic times Cash4Gold.com might be the answer. They buy any unwanted gold, silver, and platinum jewelry at extremely competitive market values. Cash4Gold offers 5% more than their leading competitor for unwanted gold. Most gold purchasers will pay 50-80% of the current gold “spot price,” depending on the amount being traded in. For more information on turning your cash into gold visit http://www.goldintomoney.com. GoldIntoMoney.com reviews Cash4Gold.com and other precious metal buying companies.

Cash4Gold.com was featured on CNBC’s Fast Money April 14th, 2008. With gold above $900 an ounce it was said on CNBC that America has gold fever and as a result Cash4Gold’s business is booming. View the article at Reuters.com. Cash4Gold.com states, “We are the only refinery ever to be listed by the prestigious Inc. 500 Magazine for both 2006 and 2007 as one of the fastest growing 500 companies in America. Along with the accomplishment of reaching #129 in Inc. 500 Magazine, we have also achieved the ranking of #57 in Entrepreneur Magazine. 700 Billion Dollar Bailout “Mad as Hell” (VIDEO)

This video is kind of an exaggeration, but I think it’s interesting that a movie clip from the 1970s applies so well to today’s 700 billion dollar crisis. The “Mad as Hell” clip is from Network (1976).

Dodd Pushes For CEO Pay Limits - Duh?

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd said he would like to see executive pay limits in the $700 billion taxpayer bailout. I wrote about this issue on September 21st where the 3 CEOs that recklessly mismanages their companies yet somehow ended up walking away with millions of dollars. The CEO’s of the failed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be leaving with a $24 million severance package paid with our tax dollars. “$14.9 million for the former CEO of Freddie Mac and as much as $9.8 million for the former CEO of Fannie Mae. Robert Willumstad of AIG is leaving with a $7 million exit package. This is on top of the millions of dollars Mr. Mudd and Mr. Syron earned in 2007. "Daniel Mudd, the CEO of Fannie Mae, received $11.6 million in salary, stock and other compensation for 2007. Richard Syron, CEO of Freddie Mac, took home about $18.3 million last year.In addition to Syron's salary, stock options and a $3.45 million bonus, Freddie Mac paid for a number of other perks for Syron, such as a car and driver, a home security system, travel costs for his wife, even $100,000 to pay his lawyer to negotiate his employment contract with the bank (http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Story?id=5413172&page=1)." The fact that Dodd has to "push" for CEO limits on a compensation packages made soley of taxpayer money boggles my mind. They are either so out of touch with reality or so greedy that this would make any sense whatsoever. Dodd told CNN, ""I'm prepared to act quickly, but I am not going to act irresponsibly in this," he said. "It needs to be done correctly. If it takes a little longer, so be it." "In 2007, the average CEO's pay of $10.5 million was 344 times higher on average than the average worker's wage, according to Executive Excess 2008 (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-weissman/executive-pay-and-the-mar_b_125746.html)." Why should tax payers now in debt $700 billion give ANY money to the executives of these failed financial companies?

Google Phone G1 Makes its Debut (VIDEO)

The Google Phone G1 is here. The Google Phone will cost $179, $20 below the Apple iPhone price point. The data plan will require a $25/month two year contact for data and voice. The G1 will be available to the public on October 22 2008, but you can pre-order the phone on the T-Mobile web site. The thing that most impressed me was the seamless use of Google Street View. The phone itself looks alright, I still think the iPhone from a design stand point looks more polished. From a functionality stand point Google probably has Apple beat. Who wants to type a long e-mail with a touchscreen? Watch the T-Mobile/Google G1 phone video.

Save $100 on the BodyBugg, Body Bugg Review

The 24 Hour Fitness Body Bugg is a fitness product featured in NBC’s Biggest Loser Season 6. The Body Bugg keeps track of the number of calories one burns per day and packages this with diet software. According to the 24 Hour Fitness web site, “The Body Bugg helps you lost weight by monitoring your calorie expenditure and consumption using the most sophisticated consumer body monitoring capabilities available on the market today. In studies comparing calorie expenditure measurements from the BodyBugg device to calorie expenditure measurements in a metabolic chamber (the “gold standard” of calorie expenditure measurement), the BodyBugg achieved average accuracy rates of 92%.”

The regular price on the Body Bugg is $299.00, but right now you can save $100.00 by buying the Body Bugg online through 24 Hour Fitness. The fitness blog BloggingAboutFitness.com says the BodyBugg counts calories by calculation the number of steps taken per day and comparing this against your weight. The user interface is easy to use. There are graphs to show your daily nutritional intake and where you’re at. Some of the cons of the device include the price, entering food items is difficult, and errors in programming. The author comes to the conclusion that’s a “glorified pedometer” and there are cheaper alternatives on the market.

If you go to the 24 Hour Fitness web site the product gets 5 out of 5 stars. One reviewer by the name of Joycei states, “I have been using the BB for 2 months so far and have lost weight which is great but more importantly, it has made me workout more often and longer than I was before. It really motivates me to get to the gym and stop making excuses. It takes all of the guesswork out of whether or not I burned enough calories to eat that burger! Since using it, I have met many other people who are too and they all have said the same thing…they have been able to achieve weight loss like they never have before. I would recommend this to anyone who is ready to act on what they learn from the BB.”

My conclusion is that with the $100 savings and ease of use the BodyBugg it is worth purchasing. The blogger that gave it a slightly negative review at the time of print the cost for the Bugg was $400. So at $199.00 it’s on par with a good pedometer and diet software program. The Body Bugg gives you the pedometer and software in one easy to use sleek package. So I recommend it if your looking to get into shape.

4 Hour Work Week - Hire a Virtual Assistant From India and Save Time/Money

I got this great idea from a book that I’ve been reading called ‘The 4-Hour Workweek, Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich’ by Timothy Ferriss. One of his time savings and money making strategies includes hiring an online or virtual assistant. Timothy Ferriss recommends going with a virtual assistant from India since they run as low as $4.00 an hour. Timothy believes that getting used to making orders instead of taking them is a crucial step on the road to financial independence. You can delegate the tasks that have been hanging over your head to you assistant in India and concentrate on only the tasks that are important to you. If go with an Indian VA due to the time difference tasks can be completed at night while you sleep. One funny example the author gave using a personal assistance is when he had to apologize to his girlfriend. Ferriss had his virtual assistant from India send a love letter to his girlfriend and deliver flowers on his behalf. Some other more important tasks you can outsource include, “Scheduling interviews and meetings, web research, following up on appointments, errands, and tasks, online purchases, creation of legal documents, website maintenance, posting Job vacancies on the Web, document creation, proofreading and editing, online research for updating blogs, and voicemail transcription.” Virtual assistant uses are endless. Some recommended places to start looking for you own assistant are:
